See below to download a free monthly Bible reading plan to supplement your time in the Word.

Before You Start

Remember to:

  • Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance before you read.
  • Take your time with each verse.
  • Be careful not to simply rush through the reading to “check-off” your time with God on your to-do list.
  • Apply Scripture to your life.
  • Trust the Holy Spirit to bring understanding and wisdom as you read.

We are to meditate on Scripture, which means we are to roll it over and over in our mind. Focusing on one verse a day is a good place to start if you struggle to keep your mind focused on the Word.

Use The Plan At Any Time

Each reading plan has 30-31 verses to cover each day of the month, but a specific month name was left off the downloadable plan so that you can use it anytime or come back to it again!

Topic Of The Month

We’re finally in the last monthly Bible reading plan of the year! I hope you’ve enjoyed the plans thus far and that you will continue to enjoy them in the months to come!

December and Christmas time bring out so many good themes and topics that it’s hard to pick an area of study to focus on in the final weeks of the year.

As the Christmas season is all about Jesus and the hope He brings to humanity, the Bible reading plan for December is about hope! For some, this time of year is one of the hardest seasons to walk through.

With many lonely, sad, and broken people, the holidays can bring increased feelings of depression and lostness. It’s this time of year that hope is needed most by the brokenhearted and discouraged.

Jesus is our hope and when we focus on Him and His Word, we can find the strength and courage needed to face the trials and pain of life one day at a time (1 Timothy 1:1).

Our hope in Jesus is the anchor of our souls and He remains sure and steadfast no matter what season you’re in (Hebrews 6:19-20).

Throughout the month, I hope you enjoy reading of the hope you have in Him and the promises He has for you. And I hope you’ll look forward to more reading plans in the new year.

Merry Christmas!
