Welcome to my FREE printable monthly Bible reading plans!

Are you looking for some extra encouragement in your daily Bible readings? Enjoy monthly topical studies? Or just don’t know where to start reading and need a little bit of a guide? Then this post is for you!

See below to download a free monthly Bible reading plan to supplement your time in the Word.

Before You Start

Remember to:

  • Pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance before you read.
  • Take your time with each verse.
  • Be careful not to simply rush through the reading to “check-off” your time with God on your to-do list.
  • Apply Scripture to your life.
  • Trust the Holy Spirit to bring understanding and wisdom as you read.

We are to meditate on Scripture, which means we are to roll it over and over in our mind. Focusing on one verse a day is a good place to start if you struggle to keep your mind focused on the Word.

Use The Plan At Any Time

Each reading plan has 30-31 verses to cover each day of the month, but a specific month name was left off the downloadable plan so that you can use it anytime or come back to it again!

Topic Of The Month

Happy New Year, friends!

I hope your Christmas was a joyous time and that you found rest and refreshment during the holidays. I also hope you’re ready to start a new monthly reading plan with me!

The topic for this month’s Bible reading is all about Justice. An uncommon theme for a Bible reading topic in January (a time so focused on work and effort to renew oneself), it would greatly benefit us to center ourselves on the concept of justice as we start our journey into a new year.

Naturally, January comes with a sense of newness, beginnings, and fresh hopes of a changed life.

The beginning of the year sees many of us purposing ourselves to be better and work harder to become and obtain all that we desire for our lives. Whether you’re the type to set 25+ New Year’s Resolutions or find all the hoopla surrounding January 1st a nuisance to survive over the coming weeks, the fact that the start a of a new year brings feelings of change can’t be denied.

Every day God grants us fresh mercy (Lamentations 3:22-23), so the start of a whole new year feels like a blessing on an even grander scale for us to start afresh in deepening our walk with Christ.

However, there are many around the world that January 1 is just another day to survive. Those facing persecution and humanitarian crises are more concerned with their survival and making it through another day, another month, another year of hardship.

The hope and feelings of lightheartedness found in the first month of a new year is probably lost on those dealing with oppression and injustice.

Oh how I wish that those suffering in such situations could hear of the good news of refreshment that Christ brings, that they can experience not only the hope brought by a new year, but also the hope of a new life in Jesus Christ.

As Christians, it’s important that we stand up for the hurting and oppressed. It’s our heavenly call to bring the good news to those in need of hearing it and to meet the needs of all God’s children.

With all the demands placed on us throughout the coming month brought by new commitments and resolutions, let’s remember to keep our call to justice at the forefront of our schedules.

While we’re focused on new endeavors and habits to better ourselves, let’s also endeavor to pursue justice, righteousness, and freedom.
